Don't Like Beans

... at least, I assume that's what Herbie's trying to tell me. There I am, doing my bit for the global food crisis, growing a few bean plants, and can I get them to stay in the ground? Can I heck.

But Herbie is unrepentant.

Holly has checked out the situation, but doesn't see what the fuss is about.

Herbie is quite amused by it all.

I am tired. I went to London yesterday, for a friend's wedding, and three separate tube lines were closed for maintenance. King's Cross resembled a scene from a disaster movie. I think I've done cities for this year.

Thank you - the boiled mince diet seems to suit him, even if it's making Holly fat. His lumps just keep growing, I'm worried he'll end up looking like a pelican :-(

Stay in Yorkshire!

Apart from his lumps Herbie looks very pleased with himself and positively glowing! If he wants to eat beans let him eat beans - anything for Herbie's happiness. Take him for a walk through a bean field.

I am tired too and really stupid! I have only just realised Herbie wasn't eating the beans but just digging them up!Perhaps you shoudn't take him for a walk through a bean field............

He might come in handy at harvest time, or afterwards, ploughing everything back in :-) The poor little bean plants aren't yet producing beans, and won't ever if Herbie has his way! I can't be cross with him, though, he enjoys being naughty so much.
