OK I was wrong

It was swine flu after all. The woman who infected a load of people at work was lying when she said she'd been tested and it wasn't swine flu. Someone else at work who passed it on to their asthmatic kid had the test done, and the child tested positive for H1 N1. Great.

As soon as I realised I wasn't well, I stayed home, but I spent a day or so in the office feeling strangely tired, and one of my workmates is on immunosuppressant drugs for a longstanding illness, while another is asthmatic. They've all been exposed to my boss, and are still fine - the incubation period is quite short, so I don't think I've infected them.

All I can say is, it's not as bad as ordinary flu - if you're a healthy adult. The dogs behaved beautifully, they understood I wasn't well. My sister posted groceries through the letter box, I quarantined myself for five days, and now I'm fine. It's odd having flu in summer. Glad that's over.

Wow. I'm glad you're on the mend. Best wishes to the folks in the office, except the stupid cow who lied to everyone.

Wow! Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Hello? What was your coworker thinking?! Lying about a highly infectious flu!

The good news is that you got to be "at home with Herbie" during your quarantine.

Glad you have that behind you but you must be feeling very angry. I have Tilly here at the moment while Graham goes through Swine flu. He had to call us to pick her up because he nearly collapsed when he tried to take her out. I showered Tilly until she was gleaming I was so worried about the germs that might be on her. Just keeping my fingers crossed now that we manage to avoid it. I do feel almost drugged with tiredness though.............

Ummm... nice. What are all you guys doing over there with this flu thing ;) ? I hope you are fully on the mend! Glad the dogs were so understanding... one of mine understands when I am sick, the other, not so much!

I've had it too, fortunately quite mild and I've done the same as you, kept myself indoors and away from people all week.

Gad you're on the mend.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. Lesley, I hope you're OK, the tiredness is one of the early symptoms, hope the clean and shiny Tilly hasn't infected you - and hope Graham is on the mend. Ditto Aoj, hope you're OK now.

Handh,
So far so good, but then I am looking after Tilly and total exhaustion is to be expected!
