Oh, Herbie, what a beautiful boy!! It's amazing to see the difference from three years ago. What a gift these three years have been for you. Here's to three plus more years!
I lost my grey to lymphoma 2 years ago (April 1, 2008) and found your website back then while I was researching the illness. I check in every once-in-awhile to see how Herbie is doing. I'm completely amazed that he has done so well and held out so long. Your dedication to him and his well-being is humbling.
Jersey only made it a few months after being diagnosed, but I was so happy to have that time with him. We spent the last night sleeping outside--thank goodness it was so mild out that night. Being outside was the only way he was able to relax and rest.
I was so concerned about Jersey's comfort and making sure I wasn't keeping him around for ME, but there is no doubt in my mind that he let me know when it was time. I am sure Herbie will do the same for you.
Until then, keep doing what you're doing, and give that sweet boy a kiss from me! :) Lisa
Lisa, I'm so sorry about Jersey. I think it's all just luck of the draw, I don't think there's anything in particular that I've done, it's down to Herbie's will to live. But thank you for your kind comments :-)

Wow. That's all, just wow.
P.S. Herbie is the definition of amazing. And so are you!

How is Herbie feeling? Did he recover from that bug?
Yes, he's much better - a couple of weeks of extra food seem to have helped!
