Day-to-day life with a greyhound.
Wow. That's all, just wow.P.S. Herbie is the definition of amazing. And so are you!
Oh, Herbie, what a beautiful boy!! It's amazing to see the difference from three years ago. What a gift these three years have been for you. Here's to three plus more years!
How is Herbie feeling? Did he recover from that bug?
Yes, he's much better - a couple of weeks of extra food seem to have helped!
I lost my grey to lymphoma 2 years ago (April 1, 2008) and found your website back then while I was researching the illness. I check in every once-in-awhile to see how Herbie is doing. I'm completely amazed that he has done so well and held out so long. Your dedication to him and his well-being is humbling.Jersey only made it a few months after being diagnosed, but I was so happy to have that time with him. We spent the last night sleeping outside--thank goodness it was so mild out that night. Being outside was the only way he was able to relax and rest.I was so concerned about Jersey's comfort and making sure I wasn't keeping him around for ME, but there is no doubt in my mind that he let me know when it was time. I am sure Herbie will do the same for you.Until then, keep doing what you're doing, and give that sweet boy a kiss from me! :) Lisa
Lisa, I'm so sorry about Jersey. I think it's all just luck of the draw, I don't think there's anything in particular that I've done, it's down to Herbie's will to live. But thank you for your kind comments :-)
