Autumn...

... and the greyhounds are nesting.

Overheard in the local Co-op:

"Bit back-endish this morning."

"Too back-endish for me."

They mean the back end of summer, i.e. it's definitely time to switch the central heating on. I've had to search for gloves, and the woolly scarf is on stand-by. It's cold and dark now on our pre-work rambles. At this time of year, I'm chasing the light at each end of the day. By November, winter is winning, and the dogs only have a brief lunchtime outing in daylight. The guilt of being a working "mother".
The lumps in Herbie's armpits are growing bigger.

Oh poor "Little" Herbie. I do hope he is still feeling not too bad in himself. I hope he has had a good day today as the weather has been fantastic here. It's the best time of the year if the sun shines, but I've also dug out the gloves and hat!!

I know what you mean about the dark walks...The Lurchers love them but not sure how The Greyhound will cope!!

Keeping Herbie in my thoughts {hugs}

I do love your nesting photos. I think I am guilty of that as well lately. The days are getting shorter here on the east coast of the U.S. The air is crisp and winter is right around the corner.

I am so sorry to hear that Herbie's lumps are growing. I am so proud of him, though, for his fight thus far. Hugs to all three of you! Stay warm!!!

I just want to snuggle in with them! We had some rather fall like weather here this weekend too. I am so amazed with how Herbie is hanging in there. Keep it up buddy!

The evenings have been chilly here in Minnesota, but most of the upcoming few days are going to be 65F and sunny. I plan to sit in the patio and enjoy it while it lasts.

I'm sorry about the lumps.

Thank you all so much - I'm convinced he's kept going so long because of all the good thoughts coming his way - very much appreciated!

{{{{Herbiekins.}}}} I am admiring how cute you are from across the pond. Although lumpier you sure look super comfie in that bed!

It's getting back-endish here too. But in Northern California this means 60's as opposed to 70's.

Stay warm, all of you.
