Herbie's neck lumps are a lot bigger. It's hard to show in a photo; at first he looked as if he'd swallowed marbles, then golf-balls, now yo-yo's. This is not good.
The title comes from one of my favourite films, "The Addams Family", at the point where they're throwing a party for Uncle Fester. Morticia (Anjelica Huston) is greeting her guests, and spots a young hunchback dancing awkwardly with Wednesday (Christina Ricci). Morticia glides over and says "Why, Lumpy Addams! All growed up."
The film also contains one of my all-time favourite exchanges. A female guest, who has been charmed and flirted with, says playfully to Morticia: "These Addams men! Where do you find them?"
Morticia thinks for a moment, then murmurs "It has to be damp."
It certainly is today.

I'm sad to hear about his lumps. How is his energy? Is he still eating and playing, despite his enlarged glands? Watson's enlarged glands were all in his abdomen (in his intestinal tract), so it was always hard for me to tell what size they were.
I'm thinking of you and him today. Stay courageous.
It could be a new breed--The Lumped Greyhound. Soon it will be trendy. People will turn up their noses and say, "You only have a SMOOTH greyhound? That's so yesterday."
Linda, he's still eating fine, and wanting walks, but his muscles are really wasted, in part due to the pred, which affected him quite badly. Wow, gastro-intestinal lymphoma's rare - that's both you and Fiona (or rather Yogi) with that type.
aw sorry to hear about his lumps.. but the title was original. =)
Poor liitle chap - I'm so sorry that his glands are getting bigger again. Princes were big before he started his chemo, including his intestinal ones, and they seemed so uncomfortable for him that it was heartbreaking. I'm glad he's still enjoying his walks and food - long may it continue.
I'm so sorry to hear about Herbie's lumpy neck! Not what anybody wants to see or feel. How distressing, but I'm glad to hear he is still eating and wanting to go for walks!
This is the guy that played Lumpy Addams. Hi! I hope your dog gets better. I am so sad for him. :-(
