Surviving Separation Anxiety

First day in the new job, and I managed (just) to survive without the dogs all day. My father comes up at lunchtime to let them out. He came twice today - the first time, it was beginning to snow, and both dogs looked out of the front door, then bolted upstairs and refused to come off their beds. Mid-afternoon he tried again, this time with a packet of tongue in his pocket, and was able to lure them out and slam the front door shut.

The new job seems fine, the people are lovely, so fingers crossed.

Oh Handh, well done for surviving the first day AND enjoying it. The dogs will be fine you know. My mum rings me everytime she is round with Larry. Makes all the difference ;o)

Glad that you are surviving. Starting a new job is so difficult, moreso given that your thoughts and worry about Herbie are constant. If they could speak, I'm sure they would tell you that they understand. Someone's got to pay for the biscuits!

Glad to hear that the new job didn't send you screaming for the hills!

It snowed down here in London the other day - and I certainly know how Herbie and Holly felt. We didn't leave the house all day....
