A Sunny Day

... at the arboretum, Kew at Castle Howard.

As usual, I have plenty of photos of Herbie's bottom disappearing off into the distance, and far fewer of him actually looking at the camera.

One of my favourite trees here is the Arizona cypress. There are several, and they seem to do well in the cold damp North Yorkshire climate.

Herbie seems to be a little better this week.

He's looking good to me! I think he is showing off a new coat which is very smart, and he must be as warm as toast with his Mum taking such good care of him.
I have been trying to find good Autumn colour in the last week but I think it isn't a good year for it. Could be we haven't had a very cold snap yet but a lot of the leaves just appear to have dried out. Quite disappointing.

I agree with Lesley. He's looking pretty good to me too! Glad you both can get outdoors and enjoy the weather before winter comes. ((Hugs))

Thanks for the pictures. Herbie looks very dapper in his walking jacket (I'm sure that's not what its called). It's good to see his perky ears!

Take care!

Herbiekins! How fine and dapper you look in the sun! Is that a Holly head I see there poking out in the last photo? Thanks for the report--so glad to see Herbs up and at 'em!
